Here comes June-
with a little late-spring color...
In the garden, June brings new growth on the False Holly (Osmanthus heterophyllus),‘Shien’. This cultivar may be the most colorful of all the Osmanthus. With pink, peach and green all flaunted at the same time (above).
Also, Red Hills Azalea (Rhododendron colemanii) is about to bloom (below). It is similar in appearance to the more widely ranged Alabama Azalea but the flowers are more varied in color.
Next month, the Plum Leaf Azalea will get their turn to show off. I’ll send pictures.
